Amikom and Rise India sign MoU on B20

Rise is online education platform that brings together academics and industry experts

Amikom University Yogyakarta is the only university that signed the MoU on the B20 Investment Forum agenda at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC). Amikom cooperates with Rise which is one of the leading education technology companies in India. The MoU between Amikom Yogyakarta University and Rise was signed directly by the Rector of Amikom, Prof Suyanto and CEO of Rise, Gaurav Bhatia and was carried out at the end of the panel discussion at the Special Stage of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NUSA DUA -- Amikom University Yogyakarta is the only university that signed the MoU on the B20 Investment Forum agenda at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC). This MoU is one of dozens of collaborations that national and international companies have been able to implement in the B-20 Investment Forum.

This event is one of a series of sideline events from the B20 Summit which will be held on 13-14 November 2022 at the same location. The B20 Investment Forum was also held in conjunction with the Indonesia Net Zero Summit.

Chairperson of B20 Indonesia, Shinta W Kamdani said, this business forum ensures an investment agreement that can drive the national economy. The total value of the cooperation is said to touch the US$5 billion mark or around 75 trillion rupiah. "In fact, it is estimated that the number could be more," Shinta said, Sunday (13/11/2022).

The MoU between Amikom Yogyakarta University and Rise was signed directly by the Rector of Amikom University, Prof Suyanto and CEO of Rise, Gaurav Bhatia and was carried out at the end of the panel discussion at the Special Stage of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

The panel discussion was attended by representatives of CEOs of the digital and creative industries around the world and Kadin worldwide.  The Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Triawan Munaf and the Deputy for Digital Economy & Creative Products of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Muhammad Neil El Himam, were also present on the occasion.

One of the top officials from Kadin India and the CEO of Universal Business and Corporate Services Center (UBCSC), Saurabh Shah, was also present. Previously, Gaurav Bhatia and Saurabh Shah had visited Amikom directly to explore cooperation.

"The visit is in the framework of opening up the potential for cooperation that can be used as joint collaboration. Amikom Yogyakarta University is one of three campuses in Indonesia that the Indonesian Consulate General in Mumbai recommended for them to visit," said Prof Suyanto.
